Admission Criteria

The intake capacity of the institution is 100, out of which 75 candidates are admitted through centralized admission cell of the Government of Karnataka and 25 candidates are admitted by the K.L.E. society's Board of Management.

The Centralized Admission Cell of Government of Karnataka selects the candidate on merit cum roster system.

K.L.E Society's Board of Management admits 25 candidates from all groups of the community adhering to the admission criteria set by N.C.T.E. & norms of Karnataka University, Dharwad. Students seeking admission for B.Ed. program can be Arts/ Science or any graduate from the recognized university. On the provisional admission granted to the students for the B.Ed Program, it is mandatory for the students to produce the Transfer Certificate from the college last attended by applying through the college in the prescribed form. It is mandatory for students from Universities other than Karnatak University seeking admission for B.Ed. program to produce Migration Certificate from the University last attended.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION

All Arts and Science or any other graduates of any University in Karnataka or any other recognised University and who have secured a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC / ST/Cat I & PH candidates) are eligible for admission.

Students seeking admission for the B.Ed program should have necessarily studied two subjects out of three electives in their degree course, as given below.

Languages: English, Kannada, Hindi, Urdu, Sanskrit, Marathi.

Electives: History, Political Science, Sociology, Geography, Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics.

Apart from the criteria mentioned those who have not studied school subjects at the degree level should study content course along with the MOT subjects which they select.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission

* Candidates with at least 50% marks either in bachelors degree and/ in the masters degree as any other qualification equivalent, there to, are eligible for admission to the course.

* The reservation in sear relaxation in the qualifying marks in favor of reserved candidates (SC,ST, Cat-I and physically challenged)shall be 45% is as per the rules of state government : - Kannada, English, Hindi, Urdu, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Sanskrit, Malayalam Arts/Humanities/Commerce/Social Science/History, Geography•

Physical Science, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics Life Science/Biological Science, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology

If the candidate has not studied school teaching subject as optional at bachelor’s degree level for all the three years/two years at P G Level, then candidate has to select one or two content course as per the syllabus prescribed by the university and write an examination for 100 marks conducted by university and study content-cum-methodology course in the same subject in the B.Ed course. ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಯು ಯು.ಜಿ.ಸಿಯಿಂದ ಮಾನ್ಯತೆ ಪಡೆದ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದಿಂದಯಾವುದೇ ಪದವಿ ಮತ್ತು/ಅಥವಾ ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ಪದವಿ ಅಥವಾಯಾವುದೇತತ್ಸಮಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಹತೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರಬೇಕು. ಹಾಗೂ ಪದವಿ ಮತ್ತುಅಥವಾ ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ಪದವಿ ಅಥವಾತತ್ಸಮಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಹತೆಯ ನಿಗದಿತಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಹಂತದ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಉತ್ತೀರ್ಣರಾಗಿರಬೇಕು. ಯು.ಜಿ.ಸಿ ಯಿಂದ ಮಾನ್ಯತೆ ಪಡೆದ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಗಳು ನಡೆಸುವ ಪದವಿ ಮತ್ತು /ಅಥವಾ ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ಪದವಿ ಅಥವಾಯಾವುದೆತತ್ಸಮಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಹತೆಯಎಲ್ಲಾ ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ /ಸೆಮಿಸ್ಟರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಠ ಜಾತಿ. ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಠ ಪಂಗಡ,ಪ್ರವರ್ಗ-೧ ಮತ್ತು ಅಂಗವಿಕಲ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಆಂತರಿಕ ಅಂಕಗಳು ಸೇರಿ ಸರಾಸರಿ ಕನಿಷ್ಠ ಶೇ.೪೫ ಅಂಕಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತುಇತರ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಆಂತರಿಕ ಅಂಕಗಳು ಸೇರಿ ಕನಿಷ್ಠ ೫೦ ಅಂಕಗಳನ್ನು ಗಳಿಸಿರಬೇಕು. ಒಂದು ಭಾಷಾ ವಿಷಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಈ ಕೆಳಗಿನ ಎರಡು ಐಚ್ಛಿಕ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡ್ಡಾಯವಾಗಿ ಅಭ್ಯಸಿಸಬೇಕು ಭಾಷೆಗಳು :ಕನ್ನಡ , ಇಂಗ್ಲೀಷ,ಹಿAದಿ,ಉರ್ದು,ತಮಿಳು, ತೆಲುಗು, ಮರಾಠಿ,ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ, ಮಲಯಾಳಂ ಕಲಾ/ಮಾನವಶಾಸ್ತç/ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯಶಾಸ್ತç/ಸಮಾಜವಿಜ್ಞಾನ, ಇತಿಹಾಸ ಮತ್ತು ಭೂಗೋಳಶಾಸ್ತç

ಭೌತಶಾಸ್ತç , ಭೌತ-ರಸಾಯಶಾಸ್ತç, ಗಣಿತ

ಜೀವವಿಜ್ಞಾನ, ರಸಾಯನಶಾಸ್ತç, ಸಸ್ಯಶಾಸ್ತç, ಪ್ರಾಣಿಶಾಸ್ತ್ç

ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಪದವಿ ಅಥವಾ ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ಪದವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿನ ಬೋಧನಾ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಆಧ್ಯಯನ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಲ್ಲಿ, ಬಿ.ಇಡಿ ತರಗತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಬೋಧನಾ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನಾಗಿ

(Methods of Teaching) ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದಲ್ಲಿ ಪದವಿಯಲ್ಲಿಅಭ್ಯಾಸ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಭಾಷೆ/ವಿಷಯ ಮತ್ತುಒಂದುಅಥವಾಎರಡು

ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಪಡೆಯುವಾಗಕಡ್ಡಾಯವಾಗಿ ಪದವಿ ಅಂಕಪಟ್ಟಿಯ ೪ ಪ್ರತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವುದು ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಕಡ್ಡಾಯವಾಗಿ ಸ್ನಾತಕೊತ್ತರ ಪದವಿ ಅಂಕಪಟ್ಟಿಯ ೪ ಪ್ರತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವುದು(ಮುಗಿಸಿದ್ದರೆ) ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಕಡ್ಡಾಯವಾಗಿ ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್.ಎಲ್.ಸಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪಿ.ಯು.ಸಿಯ ಅಂಕಪಟ್ಟಿಗಳ ೪ ಪ್ರತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವುದು ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಯು ಮೂಲ ವಲಸೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಪತ್ರ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವುದು (ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರತುಪಡಿಸಿ) ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಯುಇತ್ತೀಚಿನ ಪಾಸಪೋರ್ಟ ಅಳತೆಯ ೦೮ ಭಾವ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವುದು. ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಯು ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಪತ್ರ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವುದು ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಯುಕಡ್ಡಾಯವಾಗಿ ವರ್ಗಾವಣೆ ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವುದು.
